Wire-Brushed Wide Plank Oak

This beautiful wide-plank, long-length white oak floor was textured (including wire-brushing), colored and finished by Richard Marshall. A reactive stain was used in the coloring process, which reacts with the naturally-occurring tannins in the wood to create a weathered/reclaimed look. Unlike traditional grey stains which rely on solid pigments, there is no "whitewash" bleed or blotchiness to this coloring process. Every tree has a unique tannin content, allowing for natural color variations throughout the floor. The end result is an organic, modern take on a rustic floor in this stunning Deer Valley home.
